Since 1990 Spencer has studied many different areas of health and well being including martial arts, yoga and meditation. He holds recognised, professional therapy qualifications as well as a BA Hons degree in philosophy, and is a member of the following organisations, all of which require full professional qualifications and insurance:
- The Chinese Medical Institute and Register (CMIR)

- The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)
- The Complementary Therapists Association (CThA)
- The National Counselling Society (NCS)

Spencer supports the integrative approach and follows the tradition of looking for the underlying cause of any health complaint while treating the presenting symptoms. Therefore each person is treated as a unique individual. An initial consultation may include questions regarding medical history, physical complaints, diet, sleep patterns, exercise, work, energy levels and emotional state.
Spencer is also a specialist mental health mentor at University of The Arts London (UAL), group facilitator, meditation teacher and consultant in the field of stress management and creative performance. He is a longstanding student of two spiritual lineages - the Hebrew Kabbalah and the Yungdrung Bon tradition of Tibet.
In addition, he is a published songwriter and producer who has worked with some of The UK's leading soul singers. He has also worked as a journalist for BBC radio. Spencer lives in London with his wife and 2 children, and continues to develop his knowledge of the mind, body and spirit.
