Welcome

Shiatsu and Chinese acupuncture (TCM) are both based upon the same traditional medical theories. However, a shiatsu practitioner aims to identify and correct imbalances in the body using a range of physical techniques while an acupuncturist makes use of needles.

Shiatsu treatment includes physical stimulation of specific points, stretches and joint mobilisation techniques, while acupuncture involves the insertion of ultra fine needles at acupuncture points across the body. I have many years of experience and understand the benefits that different approaches may offer. The mind and body can activate their own healing mechanisms when both the underlying cause and the symptoms of illness are addressed.

I have received many independent testimonials about my work (see the FreeIndex reviews to the left or below if on a smartphone). Please feel free to leave me any questions via the contact page and I'll be happy to respond by email or phone.

Traditional Eastern medical techniques have been studied, tested and refined for centuries and this process continues. Other forms of physical therapy such as sports massage or cranio sacral therapy can be used independently or in conjunction with shiatsu and acupuncture.

I have an interest in many different health issues and have particular experience in working with several common conditions (see menu) that are often closely related. These include:

  • Back Pain
  • Neck and Shoulder Pain
  • Joint Injuries
  • Stress and Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS/ME)
  • Headaches and Migraines
  • Insomnia

My clinic is situated in Covent Garden (West End, Central London) within a 5min walk of Covent Garden and Leicester Square tube stations. I am registered with The CNHC for Shiatsu, Sports Therapy and Massage, The CMIR for Acupuncture, The NCS for Counselling and The CThA for all other therapies.
